Vegetable Gardening

Hi fellow Vegy Lovers!

A new update on what's happening in the vegetable garden.

Sowed new seeds into the patch on the 21st January 2013. They are:

1. Shallots
2. Brocolli (two packs)
3. Turnip
4. Carrots x 2 (Purple Dragon and Atomic Red)

The carrots I picked up from a crowd off ebay, so see what happens there, also I'm planning to sow more seeds such as Spinach, Cos Lettuce, and Scarlet Globe Radish in the next day or two. Stay tuned for that.

Noticed the Climbing Beans have taken off, Tomatoes are growing well but not producing fruit yet. The Pumkins are showing their worth. They are growing like nuts, so I have encouraged them to grow out past the perimeter of the vegetable garden. The first batch of Shallots are about 200-250mm high (ie 8 to 10 inches). We have picked Zuchini afew times already this season which is good. See below pictures.

The following pictures I took with my iphone literally just moments ago-----

Below are other pictures showing some very hot days we have been having and a sensational sunset facing the vegetable garden.....
