First Radish for 2013

Hey

Picked the first radish this morning. I'm in the patch early in the mornings due to the friggin' hot heat wave we are experiencing at the moment. Yesterday was 40 degrees and today suppose to be about 37 degrees. Hot man!

First picture is of the radish I picked and later gave to Fingers (my bro), and second picture just shows the beds with radish, tomatoes (which desperately need staking), pumpkin, basil and zuchini. You can also see the carrots on the far right near middle.

The climbing beans are fully taking off now. The potatoes are about foot high. Need to bury them either tonight or tommorrow morning.

Also last night there was a  series of thunderstormms that went through the region. Quite an electrical sight! Only 1mm rain.

Yes every morning at about 5:30am I need to water. Water from my own drinking water supply from the house and not the shit and unreliable non-potable community water supply!

Regards

Steve the vegy gardening guy.
