I'm playing catch up here.
Back on the 2 December 2012 I did a lot of work in the vegetable garden. My bro in the days before pulled out all the weeds from the patch (well 97% of it). Believe me the weeds and grass in the patch were up to my hips in height. It was shit. See the below picture.
Anyway with all the weeds behind me, I turned over afew days later some of the soil to air it out and I added compost which I had going for a good year. And dug it over again. BTW, there are millions of grass seeds from all the weeds, scattered all over the patch. So I havee to keep aim at removing the new grass/weeds as they grow.
So on the 2nd December I sowed the following seeds into the patch:
1. Rocket.
2. Shallots.
3. Two zuchini plants.
4. Purple haze carotts.
5. Climbing beans.
6. Cucumbers.
7. Coriander.
8. Six tomato varieties namely:
a) Marglobe Lycopersicon lycoperscum;
b) Tommy Toes;
c) Black Cherry Lycopersicon lycoperscum;
d) Ox Heart Red;
e) Two Roma Tomatoes;
f) Beef Steak;
9. Basil.
10. Cos lettuce.
11. Oregano.
12. Four rows of potatoes (not sure which variety, just threw them in as they were last years stock.
I watered the garden and dug up most of the last potatoes. My bro when weeding took up afew of the garlic I planted, so there is only about four garlic plants left. I don't blame him, there was so much weeds. See the pictures below.
So yes, I look forward to this seasons vegetable gardening.
